The good, and the bad

So i have decided to put in 20 sngs per day for the next 40 days.

This is going to be a major step up beings i usually put in maybe 30 a week. I am a lazy guy, and my computer situation at home makes it harder to play. 15 inch monitor, and a uncomfortable chair. but i am going to tough it out and play 20 a day

Yesterday was the first day. I did pretty well in my first 8 or so, ending up ~20 dollars, but that is where the fun somewhat ends. I went cold. I haven't ran like this in a while. but you get your money in with an over pair, and are shocked when it holds up. I just ran completely horrible for my last 12 sngs. It was bad.

The Good: I kept a level head, and played well despite the horrible beats. Nothing was going right, but i kept playing my game. I am very proud at my discipline, and focus. And even better, after taking a beating like that i ended up even for the day! This is the cool part about micro sngs. The play is so bad that even when you run cold, you are not going to lose that much money. And had one hand (66 vs 54 all in pre flop) held up i would of made a nice 6 dollars profit for the day.

I am glad for yesterday. I played well despite the troubles, and broke even. No tilt, no bleeding of chips, just pretty good sng play. Also, i have in the past had trouble with leaving poker at the table. I would have a bad session and be in a bad mood for the rest of the day. But after i was done playing within 3 mins i was my normal self. This is a great thing, because if i am going to play poker with any level of seriousness i need to be able to let go of as much negative emotions as i can. forget the bad sessions and move on to the next. Also not let my life outside of poker suffer.

So after a BAD run, i am as happy as can be. Ready to take on another batch of sngs, but this time, God willing i will run better. And if i don't oh well, just keep playing my game.

God bless,
