stars tilted me...

Well i got all set up to put in some games, but ended up playing about 2 hours.

The reason i quit was because stars has been messing up while i stack as of late. I have it where the table that needs action pops up, then waits until i make an action, then it goes away and is replaced by the next one needing a click. But for some reason for the past few days they have been popping over each other sometimes. Not all the time, but every now and then they do. It hasn't really caused me to miss click much, but tonight i did at least 2 or 3 times.

So i tried cascading the tables...meh to that. I don't see how people do that. Its like the worst of both worlds. Ended up tiling the tables...6 on a 15' laptop. neat. But things went ok. I got down a good bit at the start, but rallied at the end to end up at 706, plus i played/won a HUSNG while i was down to 3 tables and knew it was going to be a while.

But some good came out of it tho...

I love playing HU. I forgot how much fun it is. If you could get some good scrips set up, you could 4 table the 10.50 4 man turbos and make a killing. With a 60 second time bank it would be busy, but doable. i know how i handle strait HU play, and i couldn't do it as my main game. BUT, and here is the but...i think its worth my time to play them a bit for a couple of reasons.

1. I can play them when i get down on tables at the end of my sngs. There is a lot of dead time towards the end of a sesh that could be spend earning instead of goofing around on the net.

2. Playing HU is good for your game overall. Seems like there are few things that benefits you more as a overall player than HU. You get to see so many situations that are tough. You don't have good hands much, and you learn to hand read much better.

3. I really want to get some of my play off stars. even being a supernova and getting the good 15+1 price of the 16s, the skill level of all those regs hurts you. The other sites offer great rakeback/bonus but the volume on 9/10 man sngs is very slow. Bodog is capped at 3 tables, cake has little to no traffic above the 10 dollar level, and 1/2 of it is regular speed sngs. The smaller sites also have worse software that makes multi tabling harder. I tilt more from my misclicks than bad beats by far. One thing they do have is HUSNG games that run. Its simple to see, because you have to wait for 9 other players to get a 10 man to go, but only one for a HUSNG. i know the rakeback and bonus money wouldn't be great if i was playing the 10s, but if i got good enough to play the 20-50 level i could clear off a good chunk and make a decent amount from the games them selfs.

4. Multi tabling 9 mans can get to be a boring grind. Theres no way around it. Once you get comfortable with the play at the lower levels it becomes robotic. Yes its a very easy and comfortable income, but burnout becomes a factor. Once 2+2er was 30 tabling the 16s, ran up his roll playing higher bi, and i don't really know what happened, but he posted how he was burnt out hasn't been playing. If there is one thing that everyone on the "hourly" bandwagon misses it the risk of burnout. And if your not playing, your not making anything. Some steps to reduce that risk would increase your longterm ev greatly.

All that was said to say this...playing a few HUSNGs would be a great break from the sng grind. I know full well that full time HU playing is not for me, but i would enjoy getting in 2k 16s/making platinum star, then supernova and then racking up money on random sites playing HUSNGs.

So i think i am going to start playing a HUSNG on the tail end of all my seshes, but only the 6.50s 2 mans for now. (Oh and another cool thing is that you can table select easssssy in HUSNGS and once you get a nice sharkscope stats the other regs will leave you alone. So you just play the fish :-) Once i get 1k in the roll, i will start playing the 11.50s.

That got a bit long...oh well.
