I guess its not that bad, but it seemed like it at the time. I played a late night set of sngs at home and things just went bad. I was out of a few early and things were looking bad in the 2 left. I donked out of one, and lucked out and won the final sng to book a small profit.
Next day i was feeling like gambling more than anything. This is ok, because i manage my gambling well. If i can manage to hit a rush when i am feeling like goofing around, i will make some money. I usually just go play 25c a hand blackjack on UB for a hour or so. I know Black Jack is -ev, but its better than tilting away in poker games. Well no monies in the UB account, so i sat down at a 2-7 triple draw table, .50-1.00 limit. Things went poorly from the start as one guy seemed to have my number. Was down as much as 10 dollars and fought my way to ~1.50 in profit. Then played a 6.25 heads up turbo match, made a iffy call for all of my chips and got lucky. Up 5.75, so i entered a 3.25 6 man turbo sng, and somehow managed to win that. +8.00 All of this made up for losing 2 6.50 heads up matches earlier in the day. I was playing poker/watching tv, and that is a horrible combination.
Yesterday i made a mistake of playing when i wasn't feeling into it. I was in a poor mood to play poker, but i thought i could squeeze in 4 sngs before i went home. End result....I didn't cash in any of them. 26 dollar downswing. In hindsight i should of entered half or all 3.40s that way i could see how things were going without risking more money. I always think its ok when i start, then about half way into the game i realise i shouldn't even be playing. So over 8 sngs i have won one.
Things could be worse. If i play today it is only going to be 3.40s because it will hurt a bit to much to go 0-4 in 6.50s. I am wayyy up in sngs, and way over rolled, but i still have problems with losing money. Dropping down always helps me get back in the game.
Next blog entry will be of me crushing the 3.40s, and moving up to the 6.50s and displaying some pwnage there.
God Bless
